The seminar, held within the framework of the COPOLAD international cooperation program, is expected to promote the\u00a0<strong>incorporation of a rights-based approach and comprehensive care in the approach to problematic drug use in national and local responses to drug use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>COPOLAD III is an international cooperation program that promotes technical dialogue\u00a0<strong>and bi-regional cooperation between the European Union and Latin American and Caribbean countries on drug policie<\/strong>s. Funded by the European Union, the program is led by the Fundaci\u00f3n Internacional Iberoamericana de Pol\u00edticas y Administraciones P\u00fablicas (FIIAPP) in consortium with the International Italo-Latin American Organization (IILA), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (future European drugs agency).<\/p>\n<p>In order to contribute to improving the capacity of Latin American and Caribbean countries to implement rights-based and inclusive drug policies on drug use and reduce the associated stigma<strong>, COPOLAD III joins forces with countries that are leading the way in this field, Uruguay, Chile and Barbados,<\/strong>\u00a0with partner entities of the program, the National Plan on Drugs of Spain, with the collaboration of RIOD (Ibero-American Network of Non-Governmental Organizations working on Drugs and Addictions) and UNAD (Network of Attention to Addictions) to carry out this regional workshop, with differential and gender perspectives and with a focus on social innovation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus on rights and drugs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event seeks to strengthen analytical and intervention tools from a rights-based approach:\u00a0<strong>inclusive and gender equality in policies, programs and interventions of care and social inclusion for people with problematic drug use.<\/strong>\u00a0But also to exchange good practices and demonstrative experiences in inclusive actions, care, attention and stigma reduction with a rights-based approach for women and vulnerable groups.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row vc_row_background=&#8221;&#8221;
